Guaranteed to inspire, motivate and enthral pupils, Leah Chowdhry is an exceptional speaker with an enriching presentation to share.

Leah’s compelling story focuses initially on her experiences in India which became the driving force behind her decision to swim the English Channel, becoming the first British Asian woman to complete this epic challenge in 2018.

In this talk she will share candidly about the setbacks and challenges she encountered on this journey and how a transformative shift in mindset from “I can’t” to “I can” became the catalyst for her success.

Overcoming several challenges en route such as seasickness, jellyfish and pitch darkness, she completed the swim in 14 hours and 44 minutes, Due to her incredible, non-stop swim, Leah was able to raise over £250,000 for numerous charities.

Leah’s tenacity and mental resilience in completing the swim inspired her to write a children’s book ‘Making a Splash!’ based on her experiences to inspire children of the importance of self-belief.

One of the overarching themes of the talk is the transformative power of a positive mindset and the ability to turn obstacles into opportunities.
